Yard

Here are some picture of all the work I did in the back yard this summer.

Here are two Queen palms, some banana trees, Mexican Fire Bushes, Ki plants, and Bottle Brushes. These were actually planted two years ago. I’m including this pic to show how much they’ve grown! When they were planted they barely reached the top of the house.

The one on the left is a Cat Palm and the one on the right is a Mexican Fan Palm.

This is the right side of the back fence. Another Queen Palm in the middle with two split-leaf Philodendrons on either side. I also created the beds and laid all the rock by hand. This bed was put in where several hardwood trees used to be before they had to be removed. The grass is slowly growing back toward the beds.

Another picture of the back bed but the left side with some more Philodendrons, a Washingtonia Palm, another Queen Palm, and a Pindo Palm in the foreground.

This is the new bed along the fence that encloses the carport. There are bottle brushes and a Sego Palm, and some seasonal plants on the left. Daphne has a tomato plant growing in a pot that is threatening to take over the patio!

Here is a closer shot of the right side of this bed. The big one is a Foxtail Palm and in the back are several Coontie Palms and Cardboard palms. I just love the turtle in the front. I got him on my last dive trip to the Florida Keys. The object hanging on the shepherd’s hook is a pig with wings!
